About Genevieve.

Hello, I’m Genevieve (but feel free to call me Gen!). Ever since studying Psychology in Year 12, I knew that I wanted to continue my understanding in this field and help others. I am now a clinical psychologist with a deep passion for supporting children, adolescents, and young adults through their unique challenges.

I spent four years living on the Sunshine Coast, where I completed my Honours and Clinical Masters degrees in psychology and developed a strong foundation in psychological theory and practice. Currently, I reside in my home town of Adelaide to stay close to my friends and family.

My areas of interest include working with those who present with anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, OCD, panic attacks, adjustment disorders, and intellectual disability. The age ranges I love to work with are from 5 to 30 years old. I am trained and passionate about the assessment and diagnosis of ADHD and specific learning disorders (e.g. Dyslexia), and how we can best support these challenges. I am interested in helping adolescents and young adults navigate the complexities faced throughout this transitional period of life, helping build resilience and confidence.

I strive to create a therapeutic environment that is both supportive and engaging, utilising evidence-based techniques to meet the unique needs of each individual. Therapy can be challenging, but I also believe in having fun and positive encounters in the therapy room!

The therapy modalities I use in practice draw techniques and strategies from:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT)

  • Mindfulness

  • Neuroaffirming Practices

Thank you for taking the time to learn about me! I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and support you on your path to well-being and personal growth.

Please note that I will be going on maternity leave in mid-August and am not currently accepting new clients.
