About Genevieve.
Hi, I’m Genevieve (but feel free to call me Gen!). I’m a clinical psychologist passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and young adults through their unique challenges.
After completing my Honours and Clinical Masters in psychology on the Sunshine Coast, I moved back to Adelaide to stay close to my family and friends.
My areas of interest include supporting neurodivergent people (ages 6+), particularly those who are autistic or have ADHD, using a neuroaffirming approach that focuses on embracing unique strengths and perspectives. I also specialise in helping neurotypical children, adolescents, and young adults navigate life's transitions, and aim to help build resilience and confidence along the way. I help navigate challenges such as anxiety, OCD, stress, and panic attacks.
I am trained in the assessment and diagnosis of ADHD and specific learning disorders (e.g. Dyslexia), and how we can best support the challenges that may come with these throughout different settings.
I aim to create a warm, engaging environment in therapy—while we work through challenges, I believe we can also have some fun! I use a range of evidence-based techniques to tailor each session to the person I’m working with, drawing from
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT)
Mindfulness
Neuroaffirming Practices
Attachment theory
Thanks for reading! If you think we would be a good fit, I’d love to work with you and support you on your journey.
